Dr. Ayers has her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University, her MS in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in Maryland, and her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Neumann University. Dr. Ayers is currently completing a second doctorate, a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.). Dr. Ayers utilizes an eclectic approach to her work, including Cognitive Behavioral, Existential - Meaning Centered, Solution Focused, Humanistic and Mindfulness based therapies. Dr. Ayers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Complex Trauma Certified Professional (CCTPII). Dr. Ayers holds multiple certifications in trauma as well as the integration of mental health and spirituality. Throughout her career, she has worked in the medical field and in both community and private sectors. Dr. Ayers is affiliated with the American Red Cross as a Disaster Mental Health Manager and Instructor and has traveled throughout the United States assisting survivors of natural and human caused disasters, with a specialization in management/leadership roles in mass casualties.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During the first session, there will be an introduction and an assessment. It will be important for me to understand what brought you to therapy at this time and how you feel it is affecting your everyday life. My overall goal is that you feel respected, comfortable and feel that I have the training and experience to assist you in the area of concern.

Dr. Ayers has been in the helping profession over twenty years and has worked with various populations. She is well versed in her areas of expertise and continues her education through seminars, continuing education and conferences; she is currently completing her second doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).
