Hi, my name is Pamela. Are you pregnant, parenting an infant, toddler, or teen? Welcome, this is perhaps the most exhilarating and challenging time in an individual's life. Transitions are difficult and let's face it, life is messy! I have a deep respect and appreciation for the innumerable challenges associated with navigating one’s developmental, social-emotional journey. I strive to empower you by celebrating your strengths and working collaboratively with you on your identified obstacles and goals. My experience as an Infant Development Specialist, Infant-Parent Mental Health Specialist, Lactation Specialist, Parent Educator, and School-Based Therapist informs my practice and enables me to offer a unique and broad perspective. I hope that our time together will be comprised of discovery, learning practical tools and coping skills as well as challenging negative, unhelpful thought patterns. In our sessions together I will provide a safe space for you filled with compassion and humor, to explore, grow and heal. I look forward to working with you soon.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After our session together you can expect "takeaways". I encourage my clients to think about, write about, maybe even create around the work we are doing. Don't worry, I do not mean homework! I mean practical tools and techniques that can be used in real life that enhance our work together and help move you closer to your desired goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is my most utilized therapeutic method. How your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions/behaviors will be at the core of the work we do. I use other methods as well, such as Client-Centered therapy and Family Structure therapy just to name a few. I meet the client “where they are” and together we will discover the modality, or modalities that are the best fit.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I find it incredibly rewarding to offer counseling services and support to people of all ages. I have extensive knowledge and experience when it comes to infant-parent mental health and fostering healthy relationships between parents and their children. In the past, I have also worked as a School-Based Therapist at a local high school, where I had the honor of working with some amazing adolescents. I am thrilled to say I have learned so much while working with this unique population.
