I am biracial, Latina, a woman of color, and an immigrant from South America. I have worked with underserved (Medi-Cal) trauma survivors from different backgrounds, ages, races, incomes, languages, LGBTQ, war victims, homeless, schizophrenic, bipolar, refugees, and individuals of several other countries and belief systems. I have learned that an "Eternal Curiosity" is the most helpful tool to serve our clients effectively. I have also discovered that clients of different cultures and countries appreciate having a clinician ask for their experiences. "Their way to see the world."

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will work on getting a "snapshot" of your life (e.g., what is working, what is not working, what you would like to achieve, characteristics of your daily life, your areas that need growth, and your strengths).

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

CBT, IFS, TF-CBT, Positive Psychology, Attachment Theory, and M.I.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am fully focused on the individual's strengths when focusing on trauma work (anxiety, depression, and nightmares). Furthermore, I adapt clinical tools to the client's presentation and capacities.
