My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT focuses on helping individuals develop psychological flexibility. I combine mindfulness strategies with behavioral change techniques to help my clients accept their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting against or trying to change them.

Attachment-based

Attachment therapy focuses on how the impact of early relationships and attachments on an individual's emotional and psychological well-being. I help clients to explore how their early relationship, primarily in childhood, affects their interpersonal relationships as an adult and work to resolve insecure attachments.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a therapeutic approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I help my client's increase their feeling vocabulary, work on identifying, challenging, and changing negative thoughts and behaviors that contributes to negative emotions. I teach my clients coping and calming skills, as well as communication skills and problem-solving skills that helps them cope with stress, better manage their emotions, and handle challenging situations.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness, with concepts of acceptance to help my clients better manage stress, as well as accept and tolerate distressing situations that are out of their control.

EMDR

I use EMDR therapy with my clients who are experiencing unresolved traumas that continues to impact their daily life. This involves emotional stabilization and processing traumatic events or grief through bilateral stimulation to help process the event as well as establish positive cognitions.
