Hi there, I'm Cynthia. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for a decade. Do you feel overwhelmed or easily triggered? Have you been feeling down lately and need a little support finding a clear direction? Do you feel like your past is weighing you down? Maybe the day-to-day expectations and routines are getting to be a bit too much and you need a safe space to vent. I help recovering people-pleasers and highly anxious humans find inner peace again. Together, we can identify what's not working, develop new habits and get you back to balance. We'll use a client-centered & holistic approach, to help you feel at ease and whole again. I am very solution-focused and once we set clear goals, I will help you reach them. I consider my clients to be like puzzles and my goal is to help you figure out what pieces are missing, feel extra and need to remove or change. Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues, wanting to break multigenerational cycles or cycles of anxiety, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first session we will make sure we are a good fit and start developing therapeutic rapport. It is not meant to feel like an interview, but as me trying to understand who you are, why you are wanting to see me, what you are hoping to accomplish during our time together. I also focus on identifying at least 2 goals that we will work towards.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I consider myself to be very solution focused and client-centered. I am also trained in Cognitive behavioral therapy and have worked with clients who have experienced trauma (from childhood to adulthood). I believe on average my clients start seeing results after a minimum of 6 sessions, but they require maintenance after that to keep a solid baseline. Other clients may need more. We will need to see how you progress together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am very comfortable working and guiding clients through anxiety, couples and relationship issues, wanting to improve communication habits, trauma and adjusting to small or big life stressors (aka moving, separation, divorce, losing a job, becoming a parent). My biggest and most recent focus has been helping parents, especially women, transition into motherhood, focusing on maternal mental health and helping them improve family dynamics.
