Hey! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Southern California. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2018 with my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have been practicing in the field for 6 years now. I work with people of all ages when it comes to dealing with the stress that daily life brings - whether it is related to work, school, friends, family, dating or just “life”. We can work together to set goals and develop plans to reach those goals in your therapy journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing along with the expectations you have for me in the therapy setting. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

After having worked with all kinds of people in different settings over the last 6 years, I feel that my sense of humor and ability to create a relaxed and comfortable space that is free of judgement will make even the most uneasy therapy-goers want to open up and grow throughout their journey.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am trained to focus on my client’s strengths and resources to create positive change, focusing on present and future goals. We will work together to identify what positive changes you want in your life and increase the frequency of useful behaviors, such as skills, resources and coping skills, to meet your desired goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used in my practice on a daily basis, as it is one of the most studied and effective therapy approaches. Gaining awareness of how your thoughts and emotions can affect your actions is essential if you want to begin learning how to change your behaviors and develop new coping strategies. From learning how to face fears and challenges to using role play and calming techniques when facing challenging situations, the goal of this method is to replace unhelpful or self-defeating thoughts with more encouraging and realistic ones.

Strength-Based

All human beings have strengths and weaknesses. Together, we will explore your “story” through moments of trauma, stress, pain, happiness and so much more. We will work to look at what “makes you, YOU”, as a survivor and not a victim. We will identify and begin to recognize that you may already have the skills and strength to cope with tough situations in life, as we practice and learn how to use these skills effectively. We will build on your positive qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience and begin to look at the world in a more positive light.
