Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania and a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC). I graduated from Drexel University with a Master's in music therapy and counseling, and I am currently attending Capella University to attain a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have experience working with children, adults, and older adults, with clinical work in dementia care, inpatient psychiatry, community/school-based, and child care. I have also avidly worked in telehealth and has advanced training in neurologic music therapy (NMT). Outside of music therapy, I am a trumpet player and life member of Tau Beta Sigma, volunteering regularly to work with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I am here to support you and your goals, so thinking about what you want to get out of therapy prior to our first session is important. In our first session together, we will spend some time getting to know each other before working on developing your specific plan for treatment. We will identify your strengths and discuss any concerns you would like to focus on. We will develop an initial safety plan and review what our next session together will look like.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have experience working with a wide variety of clients, allowing me to be flexible and creative in my approach. I am often integrative in the interventions I use, allowing me to pull from different modalities, such as music therapy, to work toward your identified goals.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I have a passion working with clients across a variety of ages and backgrounds who are eager to learn and ready to develop the tools needed to make changes in their life.
