I have worked in outpatient community mental health clinics where I’ve facilitated numerous groups to include DBT, Women’s, intensive substance abuse/misuse, impulse-control, basic coping skills, mindfulness, parenting, etc. I’ve provided mental health care in hospitals & treatment facilities. I presently work with numerous military families and thus, are aware of their unique challenges, as well as strengths. My diverse experiences hopefully offer my patients more insight and flexibility. In the end, I know we’re all more similar than different. We all want to belong & find happiness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Let’s get to know one another - first step. I need to know your goals or best hopes for therapy. Brief assessment so I have a better understanding of you. I also hope to answer any questions or concerns. I swear I’m the least scary person, haha!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is my ability to connect. I love this work and I deeply care for my patients.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

I take from many treatment modalities based on client need/preference. However, my approach is rooted in nonjudgmental acceptance with appreciation for curiosity and self-exploration. I’m a huge proponent of self-determination with an ultimate goal of enhanced awareness and thereby, choice. I know that the development of a strong therapeutic alliance is the greatest predictor of therapeutic success and growth.
