Greetings and salutations. I am a LMSW/LISW, licensed in both Michigan and Ohio, but I reside in the Detroit area. I have been a therapist for 7 years, and specialize in working with children and teenagers. I love working with relationship issues, ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, and social conflict. I meet virtually for Ohio and Michigan clients, and in person for Michigan clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

At the beginning of every session, I always say, "I don't know you, and you don't know me. We are strangers, and we need to get to know each other so that we can trust each other. What's the first thing you want me to know about you?" After hearing my client's answer, I'll ask, "Now, I know about you but you don't know anything about me. What's something you would like to know about me?" After this, I will begin asking the reasons why you are in therapy, and the conversation will naturally progress from there.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

"Humor is like a rubber sword- it can make a point without drawing blood" describes my therapy style. I will be funny and I will be direct, but it won't hurt. I love my job, and I have a genuine passion that even my youngest clients have noticed. I have 10 years experience as a social worker, and I have many stories of success and triumph. I would love for your child to be one of those stories.
