Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience in helping clients move through challenges and change. I am a kind, patient person and believe coming to counseling when life is not going as expected can serve as a great place or support and validation when you might otherwise feel alone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Generally, the first session involves having to complete the initial documentation, check to make sure the client can log-on to the portal and hopefully work out any technical questions so that wont have to take up time later. I will ask client to share the ways they are having some challenges and help them identify the problems. Last, we will set some weekly goals and offer time to the client to provide feedback

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is that I am kind, compassionate and do my best to listen to them and he feel support and validated. I am very open with clients and let them know I do give caring feedback only to help them decide what direction is best.

I utilize cognitive behavior therapy to help clients in understanding how their thoughts and feelings affect their behaviors, goals or decision making abilities.

Couples Counseling

I work with couples to help build healthier ways of relating to one another and help them understand better the communication or relationship error which can be improved to build a more content healthier relationship with their spouse or partner.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have received training and have extensive experience utilizing DBT with clients who are struggling with managing their emotions, feeling overwhelmed with life's obstacles. I teach clients'approaches to managing emotions better, teach emotional regulation skills and help clients feel a sense of control and understanding over their feelings rather than feeling reactive to outside stressors, worry or sadness.
