I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 7 years of experience, and I have dedicated my career to assisting individuals in comprehending the effects of trauma on their lives. Trauma can have a profound impact not only on the individual experiencing it but also on those around them. My goal is to provide support and guidance to help individuals navigate the challenges that they are currently experiencing. I hope to empower individuals to recognize the significance of their experiences and how they shape their lives. I strive to create a safe space for individuals to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build a foundation for a brighter future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session, we will begin by introducing ourselves and then delving into the specific obstacles you are encountering. This information will enable me to craft a personalized plan for our upcoming meetings. It is crucial for you to understand what to anticipate throughout the counseling journey. Initially, we will examine the factors that led you to seek counseling and pinpoint the objectives you hope to achieve.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength is to create a compassionate and non-judgmental environment through prioritizing trust, respect, and empathy.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My clients have come from all walks of life, but all have felt marginalized by society at some point in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My experience with CBT has shown me the power of addressing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to promote positive change. In my practice, I use CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to their distress. By teaching clients how to reframe their thoughts and develop healthier coping strategies, CBT empowers them to manage their emotions and behaviors more effectively. Through personalized CBT interventions, I work collaboratively with clients to set achievable goals and support them in making meaningful progress towards improved mental well-being.

EMDR

My experience with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has been positive, helping clients process traumatic experiences using bilateral stimulation. EMDR aids in reprocessing memories, reducing symptoms, and promoting healing, especially for PTSD, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. Through EMDR, I will help guide clients in integrating experiences adaptively, leading to significant therapy progress and improved well-being.

Strength-Based

Utilizing a strength-based perspective allows me to shift the narrative from one of limitations to one of possibilities. It empowers individuals to recognize their own potential and encourages them to harness their strengths to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
