You deserve to live your life feeling centered, safe, and well. You don't have to meditate for hours every day, become a yogi master, or spend years in therapy to achieve this. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to explore your feelings, identify your strengths, become comfortable with yourself, and find peace. I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 25 years of professional and/or lived experience with vicarious trauma/secondary traumatic stress, work stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and role changes through life stages. I understand the experience of loving and living with someone who is struggling with mental health and/or addiction concerns. You are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you. We will work together to get you where you want to be. Let me help you be your best self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We will use our first session to get to know one another and set initial goals for our work together. You will have the opportunity to ask me any questions while helping me understand your hopes for therapy.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My practice is person-centered and strengths-based, working with each client to explore their concerns, values, strengths, and areas for growth. Utilizing concepts and tools from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Rapid Resolution Therapy, and psychodynamic theory, I offer my clients new perspectives and practical tools to establish balance, acceptance, and strength. I am trained in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and CE-CERT (Components for Enhancing Career Experience and Reducing Trauma), both of which utilize physiological and cognitive techniques to assist in processing and releasing negative energy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength is my ability to connect and empathize. I am skilled at listening without interruption and judgment. I gain clarity by reflecting on what I have heard, followed by acceptance and validation. When appropriate, guidance is offered, along with tools for achieving the outcomes desired. I am also very good at “gently challenging” when needed, which allows clients to consider other points of view and gain new perspectives.
