I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Chicago, IL. I have been a practicing clinician since 2017. I have experience with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoanalytic therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. My treatment approach is rooted in evidence-based practices that focuses on how feelings affect thoughts which leads to behavior. I studied at National Louis University, where I obtained a Master’s degree in Community Counseling. I have worked in several settings including psychiatric hospitals for adolescents, intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults, in-home family therapy for adoptive children, and individual therapy in a community health clinic.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, my main goal will be to establish a therapeutic relationship with you. I understand that it can be challenging to open up to a stranger, so I will strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. We will begin by discussing the reason for seeking services, as well as any specific concerns or issues that you would like to address in therapy. This will help me gain a better understanding of your unique situation and tailor our sessions to your needs. I will also ask about your goals for therapy. This can include specific objectives you would like to achieve, such as reducing anxiety or improving communication skills, as well as more general goals, such as gaining a better understanding of yourself or improving your overall quality of life. In addition, I will explain the concept of confidentiality and the structure of future sessions. Confidentiality is a critical component of therapy, and I will explain the limits of confidentiality and any legal or ethical requirements that I must adhere to. Finally, I will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process or my approach to treatment. My hope is that by the end of our first session, you will feel more comfortable with me and have a better understanding of what to expect in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My passion for helping clients see their full potential has been a driving force in my practice. Through my work, I provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, and for challenging them to move past the things that have kept them stuck. In my practice, I help clients identify and overcome the barriers that are preventing them from achieving their goals. I encourage my clients to explore new possibilities and to take action towards making positive changes in their lives. Through compassion and empathy, my goal is to create a sense of trust and safety that allows clients to open up and share their deepest fears and concerns. As a therapist, I am committed to using evidence-based techniques and approaches to help clients achieve their goals. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoanalytic therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies, to create customized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each client.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I help individuals change their negative thought patterns and behaviors. CBT can help individuals identify the thoughts and situations that trigger their anxiety, and teach them how to respond to those triggers in a more positive and effective way. In CBT, I will work with the individual to identify the negative thoughts and beliefs that are contributing to their anxiety. Once these thoughts are identified, I can help the individual to challenge and reframe them in a more positive way. I may also encourage the individual to engage in behaviors that are consistent with their new, more positive thoughts and beliefs.
