The desire to be a parent runs deep through your soul, and is unlike any other feeling. As a compassionate and empathetic therapist, I understand the complex emotional and psychological impact that infertility and miscarriage can have. For women or men starting their journey to conception or who are having difficulty conceiving, I can: • Support you in maintaining hope, peace and positivity while navigating uncertainty and help you build resiliency as you work through obstacles. • Help you to recognize and access your deeper intuition, so you are better equipped to honor your body, spirit and mind with the highest intention throughout your journey. • Work with you on increasing clarity and purpose around your fertility journey, checking in with your emotional, psychological and spiritual alignment as you move forward on your unique path. • Utilize a holistic approach to address integrative lifestyle strategies that may be beneficial to your fertility path, including nutrition, meditation and sleep quality. • Assist you in addressing relationship difficulties that can arise out of the stress of fertility challenges, and help you develop strategies to increase intimacy with your partner and foster healthy communication. For women and men considering or undergoing assisted reproductive treatments: • Modern medical technologies can sometimes cause us to feel disconnected from the natural processes of conception and pregnancy. We can work together to source your inner compass to establish personal guidelines and boundaries around assisted reproduction treatments so that you can approach these decisions and situations from a place of empowerment and sovereignty. • I can help you learn effective coping strategies for stress, depression and anxiety that may arise from diagnosis and treatment. • We can work together on developing a toolbox for knowing how to respond to inquiries and comments from family and friends and navigating workplace considerations. • In between treatments, we can focus on building resiliency while preparing emotionally and psychologically for your next round of treatment. For women and men who have experienced reproductive loss: • The devastating and seemingly invisible pain of losing a pregnancy is unique in that it involves not only the loss of your baby, but also involves the loss of the future - and there is no accepted way to mark that loss. Sometimes it seems that friends and family members expect the person to move on quickly. Partners often grieve differently - and for men, the trauma of miscarriage is often overlooked. Also, some women may suffer guilt or shame associated with the loss that doesn't tend to occur with other types of grieving. • There is no universal template for grief. Together, we will address your unique needs as you work through your grieving process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Strong emotional responses such as anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress may arise following reproductive loss or infertility challenges. Supportive therapy offers much-needed understanding and validation and can help you work through these emotions, learn effective tools to cope, and gain new perspectives that can foster healing. Together, we can work through processing grief after loss. Building resiliency will empower you to move forward on your fertility journey with renewed hope.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Grief Informed Professional, my approach centers on building a strong therapeutic relationship by creating a safe and non-judgmental space where thoughts and feelings can be explored. Together, we can address many areas that can be impacted by reproductive challenges. I pull from a variety of techniques including CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Breathwork and Somatic Interventions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Working with a therapist who "gets it" is paramount. Having personal experience with assisted reproduction and both early and late miscarriages, I approach this work with first-hand experience and perspective. Today I am a mom of two, and am also tuned into the sometimes unexpected emotions which can arise during the experience of parenthood.
