Are you approaching a big life change or transition, but can't seem to stop the constant critical thoughts, questioning and doubting yourself? Maybe you're feeling anxious and wondering if old experiences are part of what's holding you back now. Perhaps you want more out of life, but just don't know where to start, or know what you actually want. My approach is collaborative, which means we will work together to set goals, explore challenges, and develop strategies for change. I believe the therapeutic relationship is crucial, as it provides a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear or judgement.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Together, we will hone in on your strengths and identify areas where you'd like to grow. I will help you activate your internal motivators and improve your confidence to create and meet your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience in home-based therapy, community mental health, partial hospitalization, and outpatient therapy. Working from a flexibile, collaborative approach, I will suggest modalities that best fit your wants and needs. I firmly believe that establishing rapport is of the paramount principles for achieving successful outcomes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), is a type of psychotherapy that aims to address and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. I heavily utilize cognitive challenging/reframing/refocusing to challenge negatively biased thought patterns, marked features in anxiety and depression.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Through utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, (DBT), clients are encouraged to accept themselves and their current circumstances while working towards change and growth. I employ the four core concepts of DBT, (mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness), to improve emotional dysregulation and interpersonal relationships.

Motivational Interviewing

Life coaching and self-esteem are two of my few specialities. Although there are many principles and techniques found in motivational interviewing, I like to hone in on collaborative partnership, self-efficacy, and change talk, (readiness and willingness to consider change).

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology is a traditional approach that focuses on strengths, well-being, and optimal functioning. While other treatment modalities may focus on pathology and dysfunction, positive psychology promotes various factors that contribute to optimal functioning. I am to help you achieve a fulfilling and meaningful life.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic technique primarily used to help individuals who have experienced trauma or distressing life events. WIth EMDR, you will access and process those memories on a deeper level using bilateral stimulation movements.
