I provide holistic, humanistic, and client-centered tele-mental health counseling/therapy for individuals, couples and families. I combine my both my training as a therapist, my neuroscience-based background and my own experience to help clients heal. As a BIPOC/latina therapist a large focus of my work is in de-stigmatizing and decolonizing mental health and providing a space for clients to feel heard, validated and to be able to process values, traditions and patterns of behaviors.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session we will undergo an intake session in which we will work together to identify presenting issues/problems/symptoms as well as obtain both medical and psychiatric background information. Understanding your developmental history as well as social supports. Please note: A full intake can take up to 1-2 sessions to complete.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My background and experience with working with different clients including children, parents, survivors of abuse/trauma, previously incarcerated individuals has allowed me to be able to be flexible and adaptive to the needs of my clients. I am able to collaboratively work with clients in a way that honors their current needs and goals for therapy to help them be able to take the small steps needed to be at the place they want to be in their lives.
