As a therapist with over 10 years of experience in the field, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate and effective care to individuals of all ages. Drawing from my extensive training and expertise, I integrate a variety of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and others, to address a wide range of mental health concerns. Whether my clients are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, or mood disorders, I work collaboratively with them to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. My approach emphasizes building healthy coping mechanisms, improving emotional self-regulation, and enhancing communication skills to empower clients in navigating life's challenges with resilience and strength. It is my privilege to accompany individuals on their journey towards healing and personal growth, and I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where they can explore, heal, and thrive.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our intake first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where your comfort and confidentiality are prioritized. This initial session serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other better and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your personal history, and any goals or concerns you may have. I will take the time to listen attentively to your story, gaining a deeper understanding of your unique experiences and perspectives. Together, we will explore your strengths, challenges, and aspirations, laying the foundation for our work together. You are encouraged to ask questions, share openly, and express any apprehensions or uncertainties you may have about the therapeutic process. By the end of the session, we will collaboratively outline a plan for moving forward, tailored to your individual needs and preferences. My goal is to ensure that you feel heard, validated, and empowered to embark on a journey of healing and growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my person-centered and strengths-based approach to therapy. I firmly believe in the inherent resilience and capacity for growth within each individual, and I am passionate about empowering my clients to tap into their own inner resources and wisdom. I thrive in working with individuals who are motivated and committed to their personal growth and well-being, as I find great fulfillment in supporting and guiding them along their journey. In my sessions, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel valued, heard, and understood. I view my role as that of a facilitator and collaborator, where the client is the expert in their own experience. I foster autonomy and decision-making, encouraging clients to take an active role in their therapy process and empowering them to make choices that align with their values and goals. My approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and genuine respect for each individual's unique journey, and I am dedicated to helping my clients unlock their full potential and live more fulfilling lives.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with adults aged 18 to 65 who are actively motivated to embark on a journey of personal growth and well-being. My approach is particularly well-suited for individuals who are committed to investing time and effort into their own healing and development. Whether you're navigating life transitions, seeking relief from symptoms of anxiety or depression, or striving to cultivate greater self-awareness and fulfillment, I am here to support you on your path to transformation. My therapeutic style is collaborative, empathetic, and nonjudgmental, providing a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and authentically. My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is a psychotherapy approach primarily used to treat individuals who have experienced trauma, although it has also been applied to other mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and phobias. This therapy involves a structured eight-phase process during which the therapist helps the client process distressing memories or experiences in a safe and controlled environment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, we can improve our emotional well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT emphasizes a dialectical philosophy, which involves finding a balance between acceptance and change. I incorporate mindfulness, interpersonal skills development, emotional self-regulation and distress tolerance in sessions with clients that might benefit from skills to help address their emotional and behavioral responses.
