Are you overwhelmed by daily tasks? Do you often feel that you are not good enough or that other people don't value and respect you? Do you experience sadness, loneliness, guilt or fear? Have you turned to self-defeating means (addictions, withdrawing, self-abuse, abusive relationships, etc) to cope with these feelings? If so, you are not alone. There is a good chance that the sense of "something missing" you feel comes from childhood issues. Others with these concerns benefit from therapy everyday. Please let me help. I believe that therapy can produce healthy changes. I love being a therapist and understand the risk involved in taking the first steps toward getting help. Contact me today to begin your journey toward a satisfying life! While I am happy to address relationship issues, I do not provide couples therapy. I also do not treat eating disorders.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will ask questions so that I can get to know you and understand the reason(s) you are coming to therapy. We will discuss your goals for therapy and talk about how we will achieve them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Through the use of specialized therapies (including CBT), I help you develop the ability to manage and express your thoughts and feelings, improve your relationships, get your needs met, extinguish the need for unhealthy behaviors, and develop a sense of internal completeness. My goal is to create a setting where you feel comfortable sharing anything that you need to. I am non-judgmental and open-minded. I want you to feel safe and to know that I will do my best to guide you through therapy. Please contact me directly for scheduling as my Grow calendar does not accurately reflect my availability Shannon@wts-lcsw.com
