Hello, I'm Jess For more than 13 years, I have helped people learn to manage the worlds they live in. Together, we can discover and explore the challenges you are experiencing and work to get you back on track. We will use a systemic approach to understand the interconnectedness of each aspect of your life and a solution focused approach to discover how to use your strengths to develop resolutions as a team. Whether you're dealing with feelings of being overwhelmed, relationship issues, past or present trauma, addiction, or anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can be intimidating, but I am happy you are here. You deserve a safe space to grow and heal. In our sessions together, I will meet you with compassion balanced with a direct approach and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the challenges you are facing. I am excited for the opportunity to work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will begin with asking for more detail about what brings you to therapy. I will spend time asking questions to better get to know your history and how I may best be able to assist you. At the end of the first session, we will have identified a core goal and plan for our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is being able to relate to and empathize with my clients. I take on the role of guide and partner to their success.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals who may be looking to grow professionally (ie: develop leadership skills, build confidence) and those looking to grow personally (ie: communication skills, exploring attachment styles in relationships, work on self love and confidence). I have experience working primarily with adults ages 18-45. I have experience personally and professionally working with people who identify as veterans, military spouses, parents, and young adults looking to find themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT with patients to identify core thoughts and process and challenge the behaviors that are a result of these thoughts.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use a DBT informed approach to teach skills that assist clients with emotion regulation and to better navigate their relationships with the world around them.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I form a team with my client who is the expert on themselves. I assist in the identification of strength, resources, and desires. Instead of digging into old wounds, more time is spent focusing on resolutions for people who have a specific goal in mind and just need a little help reaching it.
