Hello! I am licensed social worker serving clients throughout the state of Michigan. I graduated with my MSW from Grand Valley State University in 2013. I have worked within the foster care system, provided wraparound services for troubled youth, worked with those experiencing homelessness and with Veterans and their caregivers. I work with youth and adults on developing positive coping skills, short and long-term goals to address anxiety, depression, life changes, stress management and other mental health concerns.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll become acquainted with each other and discuss the challenges that you’re currently facing and what goals you’re looking to establish. This will allow me to create an outlined plan for us to work through during future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Throughout my 10+ years of experience, I have educated myself on different therapeutic tools that I can implement and customize for clients depending on their needs and goals.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have worked as a licensed social worker for over 10 and have specialized in solution focused therapy. I work closely with my clients on developing short term goals for present problems. These goals are built off of one's strength allowing for personal growth and development.

Motivational Interviewing

I have utilize motivational interviewing since day one of being a social worker in order to meet my clients where they are at. Together my clients and I develop both short and long-term goals that are then through motivational interviewing and incorporated with additional therapeutic techniques.

Strength-Based

I believe clients can reach their best and fullest potential while focusing/building on their strengths. Together, clients and I focus on their strengths to create building blocks for positive coping skills, self-esteem and develop additional strengths along the way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 10 years. With this technique I've assisted clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. Together we'll utilize CBT to assess thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to understand how they influence each other. With this understanding and knowledge we'll work together change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
