My treatment methods

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

As a practitioner I employ Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) to effectively alleviate psychological suffering in individuals grappling with trauma and PTSD. AEDP is meticulously tailored to guide patients through the intricate process of emotional processing, facilitating the integration of overwhelming emotions linked to trauma. Through a deeply empathic and supportive therapeutic relationship, I assist patients in uncovering and expressing their emotions within a secure environment. Through gentle exploration and integration of traumatic memories, AEDP facilitates the emergence of coherent narratives, empowering patients to reclaim agency and restore a sense of safety in their lives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

As a practitioner specializing in mental health support, I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to effectively assist individuals experiencing various forms of mental distress, particularly those grappling with grief and loss. Through ACT, patients are guided towards improved mental well-being, experiencing a reduction in suffering and an enhancement in overall quality of life. Central to this approach is fostering increased self-awareness, empowering individuals to acknowledge and accept difficult emotions associated with grief while simultaneously committing to actions aligned with their deeply held values. By facilitating this process, patients often report tangible improvements in their relationships, as well as a heightened sense of fulfillment and purpose in their lives. Through the compassionate application of ACT techniques, I aim to support individuals on their journey towards healing and resilience in the face of grief and loss.

Attachment-based

Using Attachment Theory as a framework, I assist patients in developing more secure attachment styles and fostering healthier relationships. This may involve techniques such as improving communication skills, setting boundaries, and building trust. By addressing attachment-related issues, patients often experience improvements in mood regulation, interpersonal functioning, and overall well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone in my therapeutic approach for treating various mental health concerns. With its evidence-based techniques, CBT offers a structured and practical framework for addressing dysfunctional thought patterns and maladaptive behaviors that contribute to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and other psychological difficulties. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my practice, I have witnessed significant improvements in clients' symptoms, including reductions in depressive and anxious symptoms, enhanced self-esteem, and improved overall quality of life. Its versatility and evidence-based nature make CBT an invaluable tool in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, ultimately promoting lasting recovery and well-being.

Couples Counseling

I facilitate couples therapy with the goal of nurturing healthier relationships through improved communication, deeper emotional connection, and effective conflict resolution. Recognizing that every relationship faces its unique challenges, my approach is tailored to meet the specific needs and circumstances of each couple. Through a collaborative and empathetic process, I aim to: enhance communication, strengthen emotional bonds, resolve conflicts constructively, rebuild trust, enhance intimacy and connection, navigate life transitions, heal from infidelity, align on values and goals and preventative care. In facilitating couples therapy, I integrate evidence-based practices tailored to the unique dynamics of each relationship, fostering a safe and constructive space for growth and healing. My goal is to empower couples to navigate their challenges with courage and love, transforming their relationship into a source of strength and fulfillment.
