Great day! My name is Shironda Monique Bryant. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I have been providing counseling in some form or fashion since 2005 but have been licensed and practicing in the state of North Carolina since 2012 (I began my career in counseling in New Jersey). I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, anger issues, and ADHD. I have worked in array of environments from prisons to the court systems, schools, hospitals and an army base. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is existential, which in itself pulls from several other treatment modalities. I am confident that I will be able to tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I look forward to working with you in the near future and being a part of helping you create, see and meet your goals!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

For our first session clients can expect to get a brief introduction from me about who I am and how I typically run my sessions. Then I will sit back and listen to my client. I allow them to tell me their story, what brought them to therapy and what they are looking to get out of therapy. We will begin to establish some goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a great listener. I attempt to build a great rapport with my clients and I also have the ability to have difficult conversations with clients. I am able to model behaviors I require of my clients.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

As a therapist I understand that we have to meet clients where they are and that there is no cookie cutter approach to everyone's issues. For that reason I pull from several different modalities to provide a more person centered approach.
