Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida and Georgia. I graduated with a Master's degree from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) and have been in practice for the last 8 years. I have worked in various settings, such as schools, community medical centers and individual counseling offices with people from all walks of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will go over brief introductions, I will obtain background information and then we will begin exploring what has brought you to therapy and what your goals are moving forward. It is important that we discuss your individual goals, what has worked in the past and what hasn't so we can create a plan together to help you achieve your highest potential.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in a variety of settings with people of all ages and backgrounds. I believe treating everyone with respect, dignity and kindness is the best way to go.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love people! We all have things in common, however none of our experiences are the same. I enjoy working with people who are motivated and ready to make positive changes in their lives and are committed to the process. Therapy is HARD sometimes, but it is important to recognize that you are not alone on this journey and I will be there to help you reach your goal. Therapy is a collaborative relationship, there is a partnership that should be formed between the therapist and client and it is the cornerstone of treatment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on changing patterns of thinking and behavior to improve mental health and well-being. In practice, CBT involves several key components: Assessment, Goal Setting, Education, Cognitive Restructuring, Behavioral techniques, homework assignments, progress monitoring, and relapse prevention. Overall, CBT in practice is a structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based approach to therapy that empowers clients to develop practical skills for managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in everyday life.

Eclectic

I believe the most effective way to create a successful therapeutic relationship is by utilizing various modalities to meet the client where they are and formulate a plan forward together. I believe the client is the expert in their life and it is my job as the therapist to reinforce that belief and help them learn effective ways to manage their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
