My background and expertise in social work and transpersonal psychology provide me with a rich foundation for working with clients across a wide spectrum of challenges and life stages. My ability to adapt practice modalities to meet the unique needs of each client supports a client centered approach. I have experience working with chronic mental illness, particularly through the recovery model of mental health. This helps clients navigate their journeys toward wellness and stability. By focusing on strengths, empowerment, and resilience, I can support clients in reclaiming their lives and identities beyond their diagnoses. Moreover, I have extensive experience with clients facing difficult life transitions, including adult children and older adults. I am compassionate in helping individuals navigate periods of change, loss, and growth. These transitions can be particularly challenging, and I try to help clients find meaning and adaptability during such times. I have a dedication to serving clients of diverse ages and backgrounds, along with a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptability. I try to embody a holistic and compassionate approach to social work.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other, establish rapport, and begin the process of understanding your needs and goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength as a therapist is my ability to empower individuals to become their best selves through self-awareness, exploration, and self-discovery. The goal is to work with the client to realize capacity for growth and self-directed change. I work on promoting self-awareness, to help clients gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, enabling them to better understand themselves and their experiences. Through exploration, I encourage clients to delve deeper into their inner worlds, exploring their values, beliefs, strengths, and areas for growth. This process of exploration allows clients to uncover new insights, perspectives, and possibilities for change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I try to embody a holistic and compassionate approach to social work. I am open to working with any client from all walks of life and with various challenges. I meet clients where they are in their journeys and I’m dedicated to helping others achieve their goals and overcome obstacles. I remain open and nonjudgmental, to create a safe and inclusive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and supported. I hope to empower individuals who may have felt marginalized or misunderstood in other settings.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

I practice a holistic and person-centered approach to therapy, which helps clients explore and understand themselves on a deeper level. By incorporating empathy, genuineness, and a non-judgmental attitude into each session, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for clients to open up and explore their emotions, values, and personal growth. An emphasis on self-awareness, self-acceptance, and personal responsibility aligns well with empowering clients to take an active role in their own healing and growth. I encourage clients to explore their spirituality, world views, and psychological aspects, by acknowledging the complexity of human experience and help clients integrate all aspects of themselves into their journey towards well-being. This comprehensive approach can lead to profound transformations and greater resilience as clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
