Hello! My name is John, but my friends call me Jack! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I studied Psychology at California State University, Sacramento and obtained my Masters in Psychological Counseling from the University of San Francisco in 2022. I have years of experience working with varying populations, including adolescents, young adults and adults of all ages, races, religions, socioeconomic statuses, professions, sexual orientations and gender identities. I look forward to meeting you and assisting in whatever may be causing challenges in your life!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

While every session can look different, in our first meeting you can expect to collaboratively establish a few ground rules as well as review expectations, complete an initial assessment for me to get to know you better, set some goals for your treatment and begin building a therapeutic relationship for the real work to begin.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a provider includes my ability to empathize with my clients, my authenticity, ability to include humor and positivity into sessions, an ability to recognize patterns and problematic behaviors as well as my continuous curiosity of an individual's life experience.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work well with any individual who is ready to seek support and work on the challenges or issues they are currently facing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By supporting individuals in utilizing the wonderful tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I've witnessed my clients be able to recognize and address the challenges they are facing and take back the control they are craving in their lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Whether or not we know it, all of us utilize aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in our lives already. I've supported numerous individuals with recognizing this and empowering them to increase their awareness and use of skill sto best support addressing the issues they are facing in their day to day lives.
