Hello there! I am a dual Licensed Professional Counselor and School Counselor who is passionate about providing individualized therapy using a person-centered and holistic approach. I have a Masters in Counseling from The University of Saint Joseph, and I have experience working with clients of all ages. I believe that in a society where mental health can often be looked upon as an afterthought, it is especially important now more than ever that it is prioritized. I aim to create a collaborative working relationship that will ultimately lead to self-improvement and healing within a safe therapeutic environment. I use an interpersonal and relational-cultural approach in therapy meaning that one of my top priorities is getting to know the client as a whole person. This includes the many layers of a client’s identity and experiences. It is important to me that I place a large emphasis on client strengths and cultivate authenticity and empowerment so that they feel in control of their life. I believe therapy should be collaborative and depending on the need, I integrate a wide range of treatment options including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. Some of my training includes working with anxiety/depression, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma and abuse. My approach to counseling is rooted in my experience within therapeutic practice and my commitment to equity.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Therapy is hardly a one size fits all. My priority in our sessions will always be built upon a caring, empathic and safe foundation. Together we will discuss your goals regarding what you want to get out of our work together, and what these action steps will look like. I aim to build a trusting, client-counselor relationship through active listening, reflection of meaning, validation, and many other therapeutic approaches. Every session will be a little different, some more challenging than others, but together we will foster growth and healing.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a wide range of treatment methods. Some of which include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Person Centered Therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI) Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Solution Focused Brief Therapy Narrative Therapy

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe I am a strong communicator as well as an effective listener. I am intentional when explaining my therapeutic outlook, and my goal is to always be present and in the moment with you. Being open and explaining my reasoning process is always at the forefront of my therapeutic practice and I believe this is a strength of mine. My flexible approach allows me to better understand your specific circumstance and all of its nuance.
