Hi there, I'm Dr Myers. Do you feel pulled like life is moving faster than you can think or breathe? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work, and responsibilities? Is it difficult to find ways to cope with the everyday stressors of life? I help individuals better manage stress and heal from the pain of their past. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to center, a place where you are not overcome with anxiety. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness, where you will work on being present in the here and now and not living your life stuck in the past. Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Sometimes in life, we are faced with challenges that we need help to overcome and that is okay. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and take the first step toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. Let's start your journey toward a Happier and Mentally Healthier version of yourself!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will focus on information gathering so that I will have the information needed to best assist you and meet your therapy needs. After the initial intake session, we will focus on developing your treatment goals while discussing measurable objectives that will help you work towards achieving your desired goals. If you are willing to work hard to make the desired changes in your life, you will leave each session feeling encouraged, empowered, and with skills and tools to apply in between your session visits.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and mindfulness therapy styles. I will tailor our dialog and your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I also use several outcome measures that include the; GAD-7 (Anxiety), PHQ-9 (Depression), and PCL-5 (PTSD) to help measure reported symptoms and better determine the course of treatment that may be beneficial.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and these traits are exhibited in my work with my clients. Although my experience includes working with all genders, I enjoy working with women to help decrease stress, anxiety, and depression. Women who are struggling with relationship issues, spiritual confusion, low self-esteem, and need to be empowered so that they can begin to live their lives to the fullest.
