What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect a safe and confidential space where they can openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. Our session will typically begin with clients sharing what's been on their minds and any specific issues they'd like to address. As your therapist, I will actively listen, ask questions, and provide guidance to help clients gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work toward their goals. Clients can expect a collaborative and non-judgmental environment where personal growth and self-discovery are encouraged.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have professional certifications in the areas of grief, and trauma-informed work to ensure that strategies and interventions are client driven.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) in my counseling work for many years and It's been effective in assisting many of my clients in dealing with persistent thoughts and handling their anxiety. With CBT, we'll explore how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected and how they impact one another. Then, we'll apply this understanding to adjust your thinking habits, ultimately helping you to lead a calmer and less stressful life.

EMDR

As an EMDR client, you can expect an initial assessment to understand your history and concerns. The therapy involves a preparation phase to develop coping strategies, identification of target memories, desensitization through techniques like eye movements, reprocessing to change negative associations, and integration of positive changes. Follow-up sessions are conducted to monitor progress. EMDR aims to alleviate emotional distress, particularly related to traumatic experiences.
