Advocating For You, LLC was founded with the mission to develop clients’ autonomy and advocacy skills that will help them optimistically confront life’s obstacles, promoting resilience and increasing self-esteem. Clients are the expert of their own stories and with those various life experiences, possess strengths, even when adversity may be debilitating. For the past six years, I have been developing skills to adequately help adults, adolescents, and familes with stress, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal conflicts. In working together, we will find understanding and meaning in life's experiences with the goal of developing healthy coping strategies to build a sense of empowerment. Using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Writing Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I will help you navigate life’s current and future stressors. Seeking help is not easy but is the first step in your healing journey. I look forward to working together and helping you create the life you desire and deserve. Please book a free 15-minute consultation prior to scheduling an initial session.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will start to build a positive rapport and get an understanding of what brought you to therapy. In subsequent sessions, we will find understanding and meaning in life's challenges, as well as find healthy coping mechanisms and techniques. Our work together will help you optimistically confront life's obstacles and confidently pursue life's opportunities.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is that my clinical background comes from working with youth and adults. Through my work with both populations, I am able to thoroughly see how childhood experiences and family dynamics show up in various facets of life but I am also able to understand how to cater to the "inner child" in order to promote resilience and healing throughout life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Past life experiences can influence the way we think and in turn influence our feelings and behaviors. In sessions, we will work to reframe negative thoughts in order to promote healthier thoughts about current and future experiences which will intern help you have more healthier coping strategies and ways of living.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In sessions, we will find understanding in life's experiences, learn to embrace feelings that come with these experiences, and to understand that there is strength in those experiences.

Trauma Informed Care

By using Trauma Informed Care, our sessions will be tailored to creating an empathetic, compassionate and safe environment that understands that trauma is intertwined in life experiences.
