Hi! I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Minnesota. I have been in the mental health field for over 16 years in a variety of roles and settings. I utilize a variety of regulation and relation-based interventions to address stress, trauma, and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other conditions. I’m a science geek at heart which means I actively incorporate current research and science into everyday applications.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session generally goes by quickly and is a chance for you to tell me what brings you to therapy (big picture) and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. Through initial assessment questions, I hope to get a good general sense of who you are and how I can best help you. You can expect me to be open, direct, and transparent with the questions I ask and how that information will help move therapy forward. In this first interaction, you will get a good sense of who I am and my vibe to be able to consider if this therapy relationship will feel like a good fit.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I bring a lot of passion to what I do in connection with others. I provide therapy and wellbeing services from a feminist and multi-cultural perspective. You will quickly find my clinical approach to be relaxed, relatable, and professional. My peers most frequently tell me that I am particularly skilled at seeing the best sides of a person and leveraging that to ground people in their true authentic selves.
