Life is difficult. So many of us are feeling stretched thin, worried, and considering help. You may be concerned about your job or money, feeling lonely and anxious, confused about how to work from home, or how to take care of kids or elderly parents . . . how to not crash with all the overwhelm. Maybe you were already facing issues, thinking about counseling, and now it’s reached a boiling point. There is no doubt that the current environment adds layers of complexity and additional stressors. Now and always I offer convenient confidential online video therapy. It feels just like meeting in the office but with safe social distancing. As a doctor, I have been helping people define and achieve their personal goals for 30 years. You CAN move from your present reality to your preferred reality by making powerful changes in your habits, relationships, and mindset. If not now, when? Let's create a safe and secure relationship in which you can reveal strengths and vulnerabilities, explore new ideas, and practice new skills as you move toward your goals. IMPORTANT: I only work with clients motivated to change and who will complete out-of-session homework activities.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The first session with a clinical psychologist typically involves an initial assessment and the establishment of rapport. During this session, I will gather detailed information about your presenting concerns, history, and goals for therapy. It's an opportunity for you to express your feelings, challenges, and expectations. I will explain the therapy process, and confidentiality, and answer any questions you might have. This initial encounter lays the foundation for the therapeutic relationship and sets the stage for subsequent sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
