Hi I am an LCPC, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have been working with clients for almost 7 years. In a nutshell I help clients to better understand themselves, their histories, and why they do what they do. I help people figure out what they want, and find more effective ways to get what they deserve out of life particularly in the areas of relationship.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together my primary goal is to help you relax, feel comfortable, and connect with me. I will ask you about the specific challenges that you are facing and begin the process of getting to know you on a deeper level. I will inquire about your present and your past in order to help me to understand you, and to develop a plan for us to help you reach your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are building supportive relationships with my clients as they begin to see how the past is present in their lives and relationships, to heal old wounds, and to gain insight and awareness. I am good at listening carefully and asking the right questions, as well as providing a compassionate and safe space to heal and grow.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I empower clients by helping them to make connections between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Teaching clients how to reframe ineffective modes of thinking can transform people's lives and greatly enhance their levels of peace and happiness.

Christian Counseling

I am naturally a very spiritual person. I chose to major in religion in college. I am a Christian. I find that my spirituality and knowledge of religious principles is an excellent companion to my knowledge of psychology in working with couples of faith.

Couples Counseling

I love working with couples because it is my nature to see both sides of any issue. This allows me to be very balanced in my approach to conflict. I believe that healthy relationships are absolutely vital to our happiness as humans. Most interpersonal conflict is linked to our perceptions and our pasts. When we acquire specific skills and learn to see and interact with our partners differently we find that we can heal past trauma, and work as a team to solve our problems rather than being stuck in a never ending cycle of finger pointing, emotional escalation, and finally withdrawal. I look forward to helping you and your partner heal and renew the love that brought you together.
