Are you feeling defeated, overwhelmed, hopeless or simply “not yourself” anymore? My name is Anastasia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I specialize in working with adults and teenagers suffering from symptoms related to mental health challenges. I have the experience and competence to help individuals and families cope with relationship problems, feelings related to depression, challenges from social anxiety and trauma, coping with anger, grief and loss, and life transitions. I believe that therapy should be a safe space for you to ventilate without judgment. In therapy, you should be challenged to grow your skills and strengths so that you can return to the person you once were before mental health challenges were present. My specialized modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy and strengths-based approaches. My goal is to support you while challenging you at a comfortable pace to see positive change in your life. * Please note I do not provide letters for service animals or special accommodations. Please feel free to reach out with any questions at 661-487-1779

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Please expect evaluation and assessment during the initial session. I do my best to be gentle and open .

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Together we will explore a modality that works for you. I have extensive training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which will educate you on intrusive , distorted thinking and how to handle this better. Strengths Based Therapy will take the skills and strengths you have and teach you to use them to overcome mental illness. I am also well trained in Trauma Focused Therapy and how this may affect you. I will conduct a trauma assessment to explore this option. Psychoeducational therapy is helpful to learn about mental illness and have a more structured approach with weekly tasks (homework) etc. I believe there is no “one size fits all” in therapy so we will take our time together and explore a method that makes you feel comfortable.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I would say my strength is helping people rediscover who they are and having a positive outlook on life. I have taught people to explore their past (trauma and all) but learn to accept it and use it as a strength. I love to see the progression of change in people, it genuinely makes me so happy to watch people fall in love with life again. I also consider myself an expert in working with young adults. Youth of today have a lot of pressures and changes that were not present years ago. I feel it’s important to explore these topics with teens and young adults to help the person process things and feel better. When a young person receives the help they need it makes a ripple effect on the entire family, community etc. Another strength I offer is understanding the needs of the faith community. As a Christian counselor, I can understand how faith and beliefs have the potential to collide and complement your mental health journey.
