I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with an MA in counseling and art therapy from Ursuline College. I specialize in working with clients in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities utilizing ACT and Brainspotting. I enjoy engaging clients in various activities in session and work from an approach that is holistic and inclusive.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, I will answer any questions you have, explain how therapy works and what to expect, and ask some questions about you to get a good picture of your life and what to focus on in our work together.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I embrace the uniqueness in each of us, no matter your background, I value the diversity of each of my clients and as queer identified African American womxn, I know the importance of finding a provider that can relate to your struggles in navigating the world. I believe in utilizing your strengths to build a better quality of life. I have a warm and relaxed approach to therapy and believe in the impact of spirituality and embracing my client's personal practices. I work from an approach that is holistic and BIPOC and LGBTQ+ centered and through Brainspotting I offer a unique opportunity to process emotions and heal trauma.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
My ideal clients are those who are motivated and committed to self-improvement. Clients interested in growing mentally, emotionally, and spiritually to accomplish treatment goals and an increased quality of life. I work primarily with adults managing life transitions, anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress, and self-esteem challenges.
