Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from Amberton University in Garland, TX and have been practicing since 2019. I work with teens and adults struggling with grief , anxiety, depression, anger and boundary problems. I specialize in perinatal loss as well. I desire to help my clients to see that broken is okay and you will not feel shattered forever.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together , we'll start with initial assessments, brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having walked through the journey of grief in many areas of my life I have learned that broken is okay because there is still life after a loss. We are all broken in some way and I am willing to sit, listen and assist you in finding your new normal.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is one of the ultimate life skills treatment program today. In my experience this type of therapy moves you from solely change based models to one of skill based learning, allowing you to go beyond symptom management and reach the very core of how you think about your life, emotions and relationships. It helps you to learn how to manage distress, regulate emotions and handles stressful situations better than ever before.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT treatment in my experience helps you learn how to change your thinking patterns. These strategies might include: Learning to recognize one's distortions in thinking that are creating problems, exposure to situations that cause anxiety, journaling your thoughts, behaviors and feelings throughout the day and then to reevaluate them in light of reality. This helps you to gaining a better understanding of your behaviors and motivations.
