Hello, my name is Diana. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) therapist in Florida and I'm passionate about helping adults and the elderly with a variety of mental health challenges which include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, transitional life events, guilt, shame, and/or remorse, issues with self-esteem and imposter syndrome, anger management, and issues with interpersonal relationships that have impacted overall mood and functioning. I believe in collaborating with my clients to help them identify and achieve the steps needed to live the life they want.  I use a holistic collaborative treatment approach as a guiding principal to facilitate change and/or life improvement. I believe that individuals have the ability to grow, change and live happy, purposeful, and fulfilling lives.  Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and reactions.  Send me a message to book a free 15 minute consultation so I can learn more about you and your presenting problem to determine if I am a fit for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The goal of our first session is for me to get to know you. I will ask questions about your life, your background, and what brought you to therapy. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan with goals for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

There is no "one size fits all" treatment approach. Therefore, I utilize evidence-based treatment approaches depending on the presenting needs in a person-in-environment approach. This perspective is the guiding practice-guiding principle that I use that highlights the importance of understanding you and behavior in light of the environmental contexts in which you interact in.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my biggest strengths are my active listening skills, which not only helps establish trust but also understand why you are seeking professional help. As a clinical therapist, I create a very warm and welcoming environment, free of judgement with a sense of safety for you to be able to feel comfortable to share your most intimate thoughts and feelings. I also demonstrate respect for important principles, such as confidentiality and respect to your morals, values, and beliefs. There are issues of stigma, shame, and/or guilt that may withhold someone from seeking help, but know that these very issues are what I can help resolve to help you live a more liberating life. Anyone who accepts my help should know that I am ready to meet you where you are, not where you think you should be.
