Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I am a Certified EMDR therapist and Approved Consultant. EMDR is highly effective in treating PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression and more. I have over 14 years’ experience providing this treatment to my clients. I see therapy as a collaborative process, while I may be the navigator, you are in the driver’s seat. I serve as your coach to help you reach your therapeutic goals. We go at your pace and address the issues you identify. Clients share that their response to treatment has been transformative and lasting. My approach integrates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CPT, and mindfulness; my approach is attachment, diversity and trauma informed.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will get to know each other. Allowing you to talk, feel heard and explain at your pace is the most important part of the first session. I answer questions about my background and skills, and I learn about your history and goals for therapy. We will get started on teaching you useful skills and information as soon as possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to connect with people on a deep and supportive level. Though I bring skills and knowledge to the therapy session, the connection is the glue that helps us do the work together. I’m a military brat who grew up moving across the country and overseas, I enjoy connecting with people of all cultures, ages, races and backgrounds. I love this work; I enjoy helping others overcome their past and reach their full potential.

My treatment methods

EMDR

14+ years experience treating trauma quickly and gently with EMDR. Also treated anxiety, OCD, phobias, chronic pain, addiction urges and depression with EMDR.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is CBT specifically for trauma. We all absorbe distorted thoughts as we grow up- when there is a trauma sometimes we get stuck in thoughts that keep us in trauma. By catching these thoughts, doing a reality check on them and changing the thoughts to ones that are reality based and/or helpful, we get relief. Over time the distorted thoughts stop.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

TEach CBT concepts and how to catch, check and change distorted thoughts.

Eclectic

Acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, attachment focused EMDR, motivational interviewing, Jungian concepts and Imago therapy are all influences interwoven in my work with clients.
