I received a bachelor's degree in fine art from Kent State University and a master's degree in counseling from Trinity Washington University. I have been working in DC for the past 10 years engaging with individuals and families in various settings including court, community, and school. I appreciate the trust and vulnerability it takes to seek help. Together, we will engage in compassionate, person-centered, and holistic therapy. I intend to promote an empathic, safe, and non-judgmental space that allows a strong therapeutic relationship to form. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in cultural sensitivity. I also use varying modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I have assisted clients in many areas, including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first therapy session, clients can expect a process that focuses on introductions, building trust, gathering information, and establishing treatment goals. The goal is to create a safe space to share and collaboratively develop a treatment plan for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work through a strengths-based lens and enjoy allowing strong therapeutic relationships to develop with intentionality.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I am naturally drawn to person-centered therapy for creating a safe, authentic, and nonjudgemental space. I enjoy building rapport with others and working together towards growth. I work eclectically using a variety of modalities such as ACT, DBT, and Family Systems Therapy, all with a person-centered approach.
