I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy via telehealth. I have experience in various aspects of both the mental health field and medical setting. He has extensive experience working with Depression and Anxiety Disorders, along with chronic disease, acute crises, trauma, and life transitions. My most recent focus has been helping people to overcome effects of trauma/dysfunction on their present day lives with an emphasis on lifestyle changes.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is all about laying the ground work and expectations. You can expect a thorough, detailed assessment that includes a history (biopsychosocial), symptomology, background and any ancillary information that helps assist with the current assessment, diagnostics, and understanding of the overall problem. This is all about establishing rapport. I want to know YOUR story.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths come from my plethora of experience in multiple arenas of mental health, and healthcare as a whole. I've grown akin to understanding the multi-faceted issues present in the day to day lives of most people. My arsenal of treatment methods better equips me to approach each issue with precision and effectiveness.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've utilized this in several different professional environments, including but not limited to medical settings, long term care, hospice, and private practice.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Exposure response prevention has been utilized in the private practice setting for OCD and anxiety related disorders. I use it to effectively ameliorate people's fears by gradually exposing them with the intention of decreasing rumination and anxiety simultaneously. Uncertainty is all around you; it's time to dive in.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is similar to CBT, but employs more physical action. I utilize this to help increase distress tolerance when people are overwhelmed with life as well as with themselves or circumstances out of their control. Sometimes we have to utilize opposite action to achieve the desired goal.
