As a bilingual, bicultural, Latina, clinical social worker, I have dedicated my practice to working with women, have been judged, misunderstood, silenced, and oftentimes overlooked. Who you are is not defined by your sex, color, dis-ease, relationship, or your family. Although these things impact you, the "whole" of you is still evolving; ever present and resilient. Don't let your past, your thoughts, society or your environment determine what works for you and what does not. Trust your gut - your body keeps score and knows how to guide you. We need to learn to listen to what comes from within. Let me show you how.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In each session, you will experience authenticity, empathy, and humor as I bring a humanistic approach to each session. In our first session together, we will start with a brief introduction and then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will me develop a treatment plan that supports your measurable goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The core values that inform my work and life include a commitment to the needs and lives of my clients; integrity as the center driving the ethic of the work I do; nuanced appreciation for deep listening and the ways in which intersecting facets of a person’s life reveal themselves and work to impact their situation; genuine care for the people and their lives; an approach that harnesses a client’s strengths as a tool for their restoration and cultivation of life habits in ways that are aligned and accessible with their lives; and attention to the ways in which we can celebrate, lift up, and amplify growth and accomplishment as a resiliency practice. “I think the strongest part of my work is that I am authentic in how I show up; I approach my work with a realness that reaches the client"

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand how our thoughts are shaped by our environment and how our behavior is impacted by our thoughts. Knowing what triggers you is the key to gaining insight into what works and what does not work; and most importantly, how to make better decisions when it comes to dealing with life (Mindfulness).

Racial trauma treatment

As a person of color, I have a deep understanding of how generational trauma, prolonged exposure to racism, systemic bias, and microaggressions impact both our psychological and emotional wellbeing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I believe that we all need closure; find ways to identify solutions to problems you have been dealing with for years
