Hi there, I'm Lauramarie. Do you find getting up and going about your day-to-day routines becoming a challenge? Are you having trouble trying to figure out who you are and how to navigate relationships with others in a healthy way? Does anxiety, stress, or frustration interfere with sleep or getting tasks accomplished? I work with adult clients to build a strong sense of self, create healthy relationships and boundaries, and work on relaxation and coping skills to decrease the impacts of symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression, and adjusting to transitions in life. Together we can create a person-centered set of goals to address what is not working and begin finding peace and healing. I love integrating aspects of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and communication skills to empower you to become your best self. Whether you're dealing with changes in life, conflicts within different relationships, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow, and you will be met with compassion, validation, and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the difficulties and habits holding you back. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. We will discuss the history of these challenges, and identify strengths and your support system. This will all help us collaboratively create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a variety of treatment methods that will be specific to each client's needs. Some include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where we work on how emotions, thoughts, and behaviors all affect one another and begin identifying negative automatic thoughts and cognitive distortions, so you can reframe these in alternative ways. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) where topics such as mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation skills come into play. Motivational Interviewing (MI) where we identify your stage of change and work through each one to find barriers and motivators.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy working with adults who struggle with transitions or adjustments in life, mood-specific impacts such as anxiety or depression, and those who are in need of building a strong sense of self and communication/boundaries within different types of relationships.
