My treatment methods

EMDR

I’ve been trained in EMDR for almost 15 years. It is a wonderful method to resolve stress and trauma of all kinds. It can be done remotely with video or phone sessions. I use it almost everyday with my clients.

Mind-body approach

The mind/body approach believes that what affects the mind, also affects the body. The body has memory of trauma and experiences also. There are many mind/body therapies such as Somatic Therapy, Sensory Motor, and mindfulness. I incorporate some of these strategies in therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My approach with CBT is very solution oriented. It offers insight and teaches new skills as well as tools to help to cope with every day stressors, as well as major issues in relationships and life.

Couples Counseling

Relationships are often difficult to navigate. They can bring great joy, but also cause us great pain when problems arise. Each individual brings their own baggage, family of origin beliefs and coping skills as well as human imperfections. I offer support, mediation with difficult or heated issues, and functional healthy tools.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS believes that we all of various parts to who we are, and those parts can take over in any given situation. The goal of IFS is to identify each part of ourselves at play, and help integrate those parts into our whole person.
