Dr. Cleveland is a child, adolescent, adult, and family therapist. She has fifteen years of experience at The University of Alabama in educational research administration and twenty years in the mental health field. Dr. Cleveland holds a Bachelor’s from Judson College in Communications, Master’s and Doctorate in Education, and a Master’s in Social Work, all from The University of Alabama. She is licensed in AL, FL, and VA. Dr. Cleveland works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing attention deficit disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders. Dr. Cleveland serves as an Educational Consultant for Children, Adolescents, and College Students with behavioral and /or mental disorders experiencing academic difficulties. She assists with the development of educational accommodations and attends meetings as an advocate for parents and patients. She also works with divoricing families on co-parenting, parental alienation, visitation, and adjustment issues.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
After our intake, we will spend a couple of sessions getting to know each other to establish rapport. Typically, the fourth session we will develop your individual treatment plan where you pick 3-5 goals you want to meet in therapy and I will offer objectives to assist you in meeting goals.

CBT, DBT, STBSFT, ACT, ERP, and other modalities customized to the client.

I provide a safe space to listen, give feedback without judgment, and offer tools for the client to use. My practice model is an intake (session 1), establish rapport (sessions 2, 3 (possibly longer depending on what needs sharing)), and create a treatment plan (approximately session 4).
