My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

I've use MI and the 5 stages of change model to determine interventions specific to each individual based on where they are in their change process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT skill education to provide individuals with concrete coping strategies they can use to deal with their stressors in a positive way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to support individuals in challenging negative thinking patterns and to illustrate how thoughts impact emotions and behaviors.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS model to explain impact trauma has on our lives and encourage individuals to focus on the "hidden gems" or strengths they have gained as a result of surviving adversity.

Faith based therapy

This is a client centered intervention when I incorporate faith in an individuals treatment. If individuals have spiritual beliefs systems, practice a faith, or are open to exploring more about their faith and the positive impact it could have on their healing.
