Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, accepting clients from Texas and Colorado. I have 7 years of clinical and telehealth experience, and I utilize trauma focused and evidence based techniques to help make connections. Life can be overwhelming and sometimes even exhausting, but I’m here to guide you through any obstacles you may face. My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply and better cope with change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Magic :) jk. You can expect a warm welcome and an opportunity to discuss your concerns, goals, and any immediate challenges you're facing. I may ask about your history, current symptoms, and explore coping strategies. Establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is a priority, and the session may include an overview of the therapeutic process and what to expect in future sessions. It's important to communicate openly and collaboratively to ensure your needs are addressed effectively.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

empathetic listening, creating a safe therapeutic space, understanding trauma-informed approaches, utilizing evidence-based interventions, fostering resilience in clients, and promoting empowerment and self-efficacy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In CBT sessions as an LPC, I commonly employ interventions such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral experiments, and mindfulness exercises. These techniques aim to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, modify behaviors, and enhance self-awareness for clients.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

As an LPC, my formal training in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) involved comprehensive coursework covering the core principles, skills, and techniques of DBT. I gained proficiency in areas such as mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. The training also emphasized integrating DBT into therapeutic practice and adapting it to individual client needs. Ongoing supervision and case consultations further enhanced my application of DBT in clinical settings.

Trauma-Focused CBT

In my role as an LPC using trauma-focused CBT, I create a safe therapeutic space, collaborating with clients to explore and process traumatic experiences. I integrate cognitive restructuring techniques, emphasizing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Implementing gradual exposure and mindfulness helps clients develop coping skills and regain a sense of control. Regular assessments ensure treatment alignment with individual needs, fostering resilience and facilitating healing.
