Welcome to my profile! I am Elaijia, a LPC, LCMHC, and LCDC licensed in Texas, Vermont, and New Mexico. I specialize in anxiety. As an anxiety therapist, I work with clients from diverse walks of life and lived experiences. All are welcome here to “explore” and expand their options. I commend you for seeking help. Being the anxiety therapist, I work with clients to “Clean out” and “Reinstall” using various methods suitable to each person’s individual experiences and assessed needs. Clients can expect the anxiety therapist to work with clients that have experienced domestically stressful situations and beyond. Focal areas are interpersonal issues, love and family issues, self-esteem challenges, depression, life transitions, occupational stressors, PTSD, trauma bonding, “Stuck” thoughts, and many other topics that become prevalent to the revision process. Methods are selected based on individual needs, with the following modalities as options: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Reality Therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will complete an Intake Assessment known as a Biopsychosocial. Following the assessment, we will collaborate to plan actionable goals. Next, we address my recommendations and collaborate to tailor them to graspable or gradual things clients will work on at the recommended frequency.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that functioning in the role of a therapist is solely a role but being a healer at the level provided in therapy is a way of being. I have been the way I am, the mediator, solution-oriented person my whole life. There was a point where thoughts of what life may be like as a "Helper" crossed my mind, but my goals and outcomes led me directly to where I am. I have not had to stray away from my life-long aspiration of helping people overcome daily and complex struggles in their lives. Every job pursuit I have had entailed working within human services helping people to achieve health, wellness, and stability in their lives. My best experience before arriving in my industry was working with children and their families to preserve their family units. This job isn't for the weak because times approach where Child Protective Services workers may have to remove children due to a lack of safety. However, the unique thing I admired about my selected division within the "System," CPS, was being able to "Preserve" by working with families to reduce their risks of harm to children and vulnerable populations. In this unique division, success was measured by few to no removals. I am a compassionate person, who can say out of over 3+ years working with the department, I had only one removal due to exigent circumstances faced by this sibling group. I complete processes with the persons impacted by the application of the protocols, in mind and have performed this throughout life. In therapy, clients have expressed successful and thankfulness for having the space to truly exist and be heard, valued, and walk away with problems solved. Clients can discharge from this experience with tools in their arsenals that continues to serve them away from the therapeutic setting. Interestingly, preservation didn’t end working with humans, as I expanded my knowledge of preservation by divulging into real estate, where I also preserve. I believe in finding balance in many areas of living. Currently, I am somewhere between 1900's R&B and Soul or a Megan or Cardi B lyric. Don’t leave out other rap artists of today. That’s what I like to think of as balance. I am okay when others have varied opinions. That’s just one characteristic that makes me stellar in my occupation. I have an unique perspective that helps clients case conceptualize and aid themselves away from therapy.
