Hello! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in New York with experience in helping young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, life transitions, stress and addiction. My work is grounded in helping you to identify unhelpful behavioral patterns in your life in order to better your relationship with yourself and others. If you are thinking about beginning therapy, I encourage you to take the first step towards taking care of you. I would be honored to work with you and help you reclaim your inner joy!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Our work together is collaborative, and I would love to hear about your expectations for me as your therapist moving forward. We will discuss goals you have in mind or help you to come up with attainable goals for the start of your therapy journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with young adults and adults struggling with addiction, anxiety, stress and life transitions has given me a profound understanding of the impact these concerns have on oneself and in turn the tools to help you identify the root cause of your issues and how to manage your symptoms to facilitate steady progress.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Utilizing DBT interventions in order to assist with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and problem-solving skills. DBT interventions can help those struggling with addiction, depression and anxiety.

Psychodynamic

Utilizing psychodynamic interventions to assist in understanding the connection between one's relationship with care givers and the impact it has on behaviors, thoughts and perceptions today.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Assist in understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Exploring core beliefs can help gain a greater understanding of how these beliefs are leading to maladaptive behaviors. CBT interventions can help shift these unwanted behaviors through learning more effective thought processes and coping skills.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Low mood, negative thoughts and stress can be managed using this treatment method in therapy. Mindfulness-Based therapy is used to promote good health, as well as treat depression and anxiety symptoms through a combination of cognitive methods and mindfulness meditations.
