Are you feeling frustrated and overwhelmed, as if you have lost control over your own life and are unsure how to get back on track? It happens to all of us sometimes. Our minds can be our biggest enemies, where our expectations get the best of us. Allow me to collaborate with you in order to unpack your thoughts and emotions to gradually make adjustments to help you become a stronger version of yourself. Whether you are struggling with a life transition, pregnancy and postpartum, caregiving for a loved one, grief and loss, anxiety or depression; I will work with you to process and navigate through these difficult times. I will empower you to find your strengths and use them to make a little progress every day.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I strive to create an open and safe space where you can feel seen, heard and valued. During our first session, I will dive into your motivation for therapy. I am an inquisitive human by nature so I will ask questions in an attempt to get to know you as a whole person. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and in subsequent visits, I will work with you to set goals, to gradually make positive changes in life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My friends would describe me as compassionate, attentive, non-judgemental, and insightful; these are the qualities I hope to bring to you in therapy. I will meet you where you are right now, and walk with you to create the path for the future.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I treat each individual as that, an individual. I tailor my treatments to you and provide holistic care to support you in leading your own care.

Motivational Interviewing

I use this treatment method to walk along side my clients, and encourage them to make the changes that they want to make. Through open conversations I rephrase and point out the thoughts and feelings that you already are expressing to see your motivations behind wanting to make the change. It is at this point we can come up with a plan to begin making these changes.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

All of us have beliefs, thoughts and feelings that shape the way we behave in situations. Whether it be the family we were raised in, the communities we grew up in, or our own developed sense of self, everyday we are influenced to behave in certain ways. As a therapist I will work with you to acknowledge the thoughts you are having and work with you to unlearn negative behaviors that are associated with them.
