Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Texas. A few of my preferred therapy approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Holistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy, and Eclectic Therapy. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community, anxiety, attachment, depression, stress, and many other disorders. “Without butterflies, there would be no change.”

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and explore questions to gain background info. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am devoted to helping individuals with their mental wellness … I use resources and will actively teach you ways to support yourself. I also provide assessment services. I am devoted to helping end the stigma in mental health counseling. I come from a diverse family and am an LBGTQ+ allied therapist and an active social justice, BLM, and equality advocate. Pagan friendly. In my free time, I love to be in nature, camping, beach/lake time, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

We all deserve to feel at home and safe in our bodies and minds, and it’s my passion to help others find this place.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy is a broad approach to therapy that uses a variety of techniques to help clients. Therapists select techniques based on the client's needs, preferences, and goals. Eclectic therapy can help clients with a variety of conditions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness therapy is a type of psychotherapy that combines traditional therapy methods with mindfulness techniques. It involves focusing on your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations in the present moment with acceptance and openness. The goal is to help people become less reactive to negative internal experiences and more reflective. This can lead to positive psychological outcomes, such as improved focus and memory, empathy and compassion, and increased overall quality of life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps people focus on the present moment and accept their thoughts and feelings without judgment. The goal is to help people move past difficult emotions so they can focus on healing instead of dwelling on the negative.

Humanistic

Humanistic therapy, also known as humanism, is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on helping people reach their full potential. It's based on the idea that people are good and have free will, and that everyone has an innate drive for self-improvement. Humanistic therapy emphasizes authenticity, and that therapists provide genuine acceptance and nonjudgmental support to their clients
