I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I received my Masters from Marywood University and have been practicing for 15 years. I guide clients through evidence-based approaches and create a supportive environment for healing. I empower individuals to overcome challenges, fostering self-awareness and promoting lasting well-being through collaborative and tailored therapeutic methods. I encouraged my clients to actively engaged in creating their treatment plan goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I begin by getting to know my clients, understanding their concerns, and establishing therapeutic goals together. I may inquire about background, experiences and what brings them to therapy. I will explain my therapeutic approach, discuss confidentiality, and address any concerns or any questions my clients may have. My initial sessions lay the foundation for a constructive and supportive therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I prioritize creating a safe and supportive therapeutic space. My experience has allowed me to develop an empathetic approach, fostering a collaborative relationship with my clients. My expertise in evidence-based techniques, combined with my commitment to personalized and goal-oriented therapy, helps me empower clients on their journey to improved mental wellness.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT in my practice to help clients find the thoughts and beliefs that are causing their negative emotions and behaviors. Together we try to change their perceptions from those that are unrealistic and harmful to those that are more rational and useful. We work together to change automatic negative thoughts by using reframing techniques.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT in my practice to help clients decrease their mental health symptoms by improving the ability to manage their emotions. We collaboratively work on increasing distress tolerance skills, emotion regulation skills, mindfulness skills and interpersonal effectiveness.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing in a collaborative and non-confrontational environment. I actively listen to my clients and aim to understand their perspectives and values. I help my clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change, encouraging self-motivation. Through open-ended questions and reflective listening, I guide clients in articulating their own reasons for making positive changes. I support clients in finding internal motivation to address challenges and move toward their desired goals.
